Graham Alexander made an afternoon update on the current absentee, confirming that Richards is likely to face two operations due to his hamstrings and shoulders.
Sarcevic's hamstring injury keeps him out for a while, but the city boss didn't rule him out getting used to him and play again.
Pattison is also faced with layoffs after deleting his appendix – what completely surprised him and the club.
“It came from everywhere,” Alexander admitted. “He left here on Friday, feeling better and went to bed, then woke up at night in pain.
“He was in the hospital over the weekend, and then he gave the appendix, and he will be out for a few weeks.
“I knew yesterday, but I thought it was important last night to focus on the team's performance and the actual game.
“I talked to Pat over the phone and he wasn’t there yet, he clearly doesn’t feel good.
“He's generally in good condition so I hope it's not too long.”

Sarcevic suffered from hamstring tension at Salford and was forced to drive him away in the first half. The scan confirmed the severity of the injury.
Alexander added:
“He was in a positive mood and was around the boys before the game last night. He still has a role to play for us this season, but he's not on the pitch yet.
“Hopefully we'll come back to him to contribute as much as he's done before.”
However, Richards kicked the final ball of the campaign after being injured in a comeback game at Bromley last week.
He is facing surgery and Alexander said the city is considering quickly following shoulder surgery right now.
“We were probably planning to reach the summer, but because of this injury – and he feels his own interests in the future – it's important to get it done now.
“If we're realistic, it's going to be his season. It's a blow to Lewis and us because he plays a big role.”
Bobby Pointn continues to recover from the terrible, ambiguous feet he suffered against Bromley.
“It's really hard for him to run properly at this point.
“In the kind of injury, if he continues, it only gets worse. I hope a little rest clears it, and he'll be back with us soon.”
However, there was more positive news so that Ciaran Kelly, Tyreik Wright and Callum Johnson could train today.
