The Irish are allowed to resume training after a hamstring injury that suffered from the city's defeat at Wimbledon earlier last month.
Missing three months before the season after ankle surgery, Kelly has not taken action for just over five weeks, but has made 10 appearances in between due to his enthusiastic schedule.
“Ciaran is a really fit guy and shows her the care of her,” boss Graham Alexander said. “You saw it the last time he came back from his injury.
“We will catch up with the medical team to see where he is after he trains with us for a few days, and see how he handles the load we are putting through him.
“It doesn't seem like he was out for too long, but the amount of games he missed at the time is ridiculous.
“But that's been successful with the EFL trophy and so far.
“We want to create a culture of victory and mentality in Bradford, and you can't choose where you want to succeed.
“You just try to win the game you're in and it creates confidence.
“I think some of our league formats were dependent on winning cup games during that period as well.
“I think we were fine with just winds and making it accessible to everyone.
“It was only last week or so that we picked up multiple injuries. This is a bit disappointing.”
Tyreik Wright and Callum Johnson both came off the bench against Gillingham and increased the numbers once again.
Alexander added: “We have a few people coming back. Tyreik hopes he gets the right mask, not the big clunky mask he had to wear over the weekend.
“There were a lot of bumps and bruises from that game, but you need to be prepared to potentially compete every three days with injuries, stops and travel times.
“That's why the preseason is so important because the season is grind. It's a massive national of football. I think we're ready for the next 10 games.”
