County police say they want footage of a dashcam after witnesses stepped forward and crashed near Malham.
A Force spokesman said: “It happened when we collided with a cream-colored Rambretta moped around 3:40pm on Thursday (March 27th), and the blue car didn't stop at the scene.
“We are tempting for Blue Car drivers and crash witnesses to contact us. Please email Peter.stringer@northyorkshire.police.uk.
“Or maybe you could call North Yorkshire Police in 101 and ask for Pete Stringer.”
