Former midnight venue, Mikuregate's Square Bar and Club, and Serby will convert to the Avots Hotel.
With the agreement of the listed building, SELBY's applicant HWI development proposed to add signboards and lighting to the 81-83 MickLegate Grade II List Building.
The design and access statements in the planned document show the new Avotts Hotel's signature, “provide subtle lighting to illuminate buildings between dusk and dawn for people in the facility in these eras.” Was stated.
The applicant said, “This proposal will be a major addition to the development of the town, in line with the nature of the building and the region.”

The plan has already been given to change the use from commercials to housing.
