I am a retired pensioner and have been an avid reader of your newspaper ever since leaving school at the age of 15. Especially the story written by Mike Priestley.
I have to read his latest column and say I agree with everything he commented. All the hype is nonsense. It's simply not true that Bradford pretends to be doing well.
I had visited the city centre at least twice a week with some of my friends, but we hadn't visited in nearly a year and hadn't intended to do so. It's nothing but a criminal in what's going on in our city.
I hope Mike retires for a long, healthy life.
