Emergency services were called to Great Ayton on Thursday (February 6th) at about 12:55pm following a report of the house's fire.

Crews on the scene saved two dogs from the facility, according to North Yorkshire Fire Rescue.
Firefighters working on the scene (Photo: North Yorkshire Fire Rescue) During the incident, the firefighters who went to save the dog had to leave their property due to smoke, but were able to erase it from the outside.
Images shared by firefighters use ladders that extend over the facility to display the fire truck, but firefighters can see them trying to dampen the flames in other photos.
Smoke coming from the facility (Image: North Yorkshire Fire Rescue) A fire service spokesperson said: “Along with Coleby Newham's team, Stokesley crews were mobilized to a reported home fire.
“On arrival, two Stokesley breathing equipment wearers entered the facility and engaged in fire and search and rescue operations, where the two dogs were not rescued on their first entry.
“The crew continued their fire service from within the property, but they had to withdraw fire service from outside and concentrate.
“The crew of Stokesley and Coleby Newham joined Northerrton and Danby teams to help with the fire.
“Along with fire engines from Acomb, an air ladder platform was requested and deployed to support the final stages of the fire service.
“The Stokesley crew then attenuated the operation before leaving the scene.”
